IS GOD A MYSTERY?
16 Apr 2008
“...Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God…” Mark 4:11

Would you like to know how to do right thing in every circumstance in your life? Always have the correct answers to
questions? Constantly make wise choices that lead to success in every area of your life?  It’s not a mystery - you can!

The saying, “The Lord works in mysterious ways” (implying we can’t know His ways) is a lie and not in the Bible.  It is quoted
as scripture but that is just ignorance.  Much has been stolen from us through lack of knowledge because we didn’t know we
were supposed to know God’s ways and will (Hosea 4:6).

We are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, “His way of doing and being right” (Matthew 6:33, AMP).
God has a way of operating that He wants us to use.  He isn’t trying to keep His way a secret from us; He hides His wisdom
for us (1 Cor. 2:7).

Step One to walking in supernatural wisdom is to realize that it is always God’s will for us to understand His ways.

Step Two to walking in supernatural wisdom is to be spirit-filled and speaking in “tongues” (just another word for a language
that is unknown to you).  If you don’t have this prayer language, don’t stop reading here!  Many Christians don’t think it is
necessary to be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in the language mentioned in Acts 2:4.  Because of that, they are
missing the one of the most vital keys to success.

Weymouth’s New Testament says “all that God has in readiness for them that love Him.”  According to this scripture, we can
only know what God has for us by it being revealed to us by His Spirit and by speaking them through our prayer language.
The Holy Spirit teaches us what to speak, which is why it is sometimes called, “praying in the Spirit.”

I am not talking about tongues and interpretation used in a corporate church setting but about using our prayer language in
our private prayer time.  First Corinthians 14:2 states that when we are speaking in tongues, we are speaking to God.  This
is why it is so vital to pray in the Spirit because it gives us an ability to tap into God’s hidden wisdom concerning every area
of our life.

Praying in our prayer language is good, but we will never get very far until our understanding is fruitful.  We need to ask for
interpretation of what we’ve prayed (2 Corinthians 14:13-16).  The Apostle Paul said  “I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray
with the understanding also…”

Step Three to walking in supernatural wisdom is having interpretation, revelation and manifestation of our prayers coming
to pass in our lives.  I pray, “Father, I thank You that I can come before You and pray out the mysteries over this particular
thing I need wisdom on.  I thank You for the interpretation, revelation and manifestation of what I am praying coming to pass
quickly in my life.  In Jesus name, Amen!”  Then I pray in the Spirit.

Answers come in many different ways.  You may find what you need in a book or magazine article you read. You may hear it
in a sermon in church or from a minister on television. You may hear something in passing that opens the eyes of your
understanding.  You will most often find answers right in the Word of God, your Bible.  Believe you will receive the answers
you need (Mark 11:23).

Step Four to walking in supernatural wisdom is the prayer of agreement found in Matthew 18:19, “…if two of you shall
agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven”

We can use the prayer of agreement found in Matthew 18 in conjunction with our heavenly prayer language.  We can bind
the enemy from hindering our revelation knowledge and loose the angels to bring our answer quickly (verse 18).  We can
agree with what the other is praying because the Holy Spirit only prays God’s will.  If you have no one you can agree with,
agree with the Holy Spirit.  He will always agree with you about God’s will!

My husband and I began using this principle earlier this year.  We pray in tongues for a while.  Then one will stop and say, “I
receive that into our lives” and the other will reply, “I agree with that.”  And vice versa.  It isn’t always very long – several
minutes to a half hour or more.  The point isn’t how long you pray but that you pray often.  Of course, the more you pray out
those mysteries, the more answers you’ll have!  We attempt to do this every evening because we want to have the answers
at hand for the mysteries we face in our every day walk.

You can apply this principle to every area of your life – on the job, over your children, in your marriage, or ministry.

We are stewards of the mysteries of God and it is required of stewards to be found faithful (1 Cor. 4:1-2).  Praying out the
mysteries in the Spirit over your life requires faithfulness and consistency.  If you will apply His principles, you will begin to
see changes in your life and you will experience more success than you ever dreamed possible (Eph. 3:20).

You have His Word on it!

WALKING IN SUPERNATURAL WISDOM EVERY DAY
First Corinthians 2:6-14 states (paraphrase by author):

…we speak… the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto
our glory… as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the
things which God has prepared for them that love him.
God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God…
the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God.
… we have received… the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things… freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches…
they are spiritually discerned.
