There’s been a lot of excitement in the natural world about a series of books based on magic and wizardry. There is an
overall increased interest in the supernatural in the world. People are hungry for it. Too many topics on television deal
with the supernatural - but not God's way.
Just check out Hebrews 11:31-35(a) as an example. I think subduing kingdoms, stopping the mouth of lions, quenching
violence of fire, escaping the edge of the sword, sending into flight enemy armies, and receiving the dead raised to life
again sounds like a supernatural way of living to me. Do you know that you can walk in the supernatural realm and
supercede this natural world? You can be a … Faithwalker!
In Habakkuk 2:4 God declares that "the just shall live by his faith." Nothing has changed since that was declared.
Romans 1:17 and Galatians 3:11 also say we will live by faith, and Hebrews 10:38 calls it "the righteous person will live
by faith." It is pretty obvious that God is trying to get this fact across to us. We can be Faithwalkers!
As born again Christians, we are to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). The problem has always been to focus
on the supernatural realm - or God's way of doing things - rather than what we see in the natural realm - our
circumstances. First we have to learn that we hadvetwo realms to live in. Then we have to learn how to walk in the one
that brings us the power - the supernatural.
The problem with the world's supernatural realm is that it is always inferior to God's ways. Magicians couldn't interpret
Pharoah's dream and Joseph had to come tell him what God had to say (Genesis 41:8). In the time of Moses and Aaron,
the magicians were always incapable of topping what God did, and if you recall, they were couldn't stand before Moses
because they were covered with the boils while Moses wasn't (Exodus 9:11)!
King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 1:20 found that Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, were "in all matters of wisdom
and understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers
that were in all his realm." Ten times wiser, ten times more full of understanding. And in Daniel 2:9-11 you find that the
king commanded his magicians, astrologers, sorcerers, and Chaldeans (who were professional astrologers) to tell him
what he dreamed. They replied that it was no man who could tell him except the "gods." Then along comes Joseph,
God's man of the hour, and told the king what he dreamed. Only God.
Jesus said we can do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Let's review for a minute. Jesus took five loaves and two
fish and fed 5,000 men, not counting women and children who were also fed. He walked on water. He healed the blind,
lame, sick, raised the dead, supernaturally stuck a cut-off ear back on a soldier's head, and told the woman of Samaria at
the well "all things that ever I did" (John 4:29). Have you done any of these things lately? You can. You can be a
Faithwalker!
How can you be a supernatural Faithwalker? It’s very simple – read your Bible to build up your faith (Romans 10:17) and
then obey John 2:5, “Whatever He says to you, do it.'' The Bible says that you can receive according to your faith. If you
have trouble believing, simply build up your ability to believe – read your Bible, listen to good faith-based teaching tapes,
and read faith-based books. Soon you will be able to believe for anything!
