| THE LAW OF DISPLACEMENT |
I remember one time my husband and I were ministering in church. At the time, the topic was in the
area of prosperity and how God wants to prosper us in every area of our lives, including financially.
Being a small church (under 75), oftentimes people didn’t mind interrupting the service to ask
questions. At this particular time, a man interrupted and said to my husband, “Yes, but brother, not all
of us have degrees or college educations.” His point was that my husband was only financially
prosperous because of his degree.
My husband tried to explain that his degree wasn’t even in the area he worked in, but the man refused
to listen. He muttered throughout the service about how we were prosperous because of my husband’
s college degree. He couldn’t see God’s Word because on his own false perception and lack of
knowledge.
That’s really funny to me because my husband had that same degree when we almost lost our home
to the sheriff’s auction block. He had that same degree when the bank almost took both of our
vehicles. He had that same degree when he couldn’t find work and he had that same degree when he
basically had to dig ditches to support us.
That college degree has nothing to do with our financial prosperity. To those who despair of ever
coming out on the other side of financial woes – debt, poverty and lack - I have good news for you.
God is into the financial prosperity of His people and wants our every need and want and desire
fulfilled. He wants us to be financially free and able to give into every good work. His Word is true and
always works, always.
Where we are now is not where we were when we married 14 years ago. Back then we both knew
about tithing, period. We had no clue what offerings were and we were in big time debt. To top that
off, God had told me to come home from a very well paying job to finish raising our son. I want to
encourage you – it can be done.
How can anyone do this? One step at a time (and giving tithe and offerings). God will teach and train
you to come up to the level He wants you to operate in. Just ask!
You need finances? Then your most important job is to study the Word in the area of financial
prosperity and how God operates. You don’t get there overnight, but your speed is dependent only
on YOU and the amount of Word you put in and understand. It has to become revelation and not just
information.
As you meditate over and over (such as listening to the same prosperity CD many, many times), it
eventually becomes revealed Word. You will get it, and no one and nothing can take it away from you,
not matter what outer circumstances look like! Trust me you will know when you get it. I do suggest if
you have major debt, hook up with ministry that has revelation knowledge in the area of debt freedom,
God’s way.
Our pastor calls it the Law of Displacement. As you feed on the Word in the area of financial
prosperity – read the Bible, read faith-based books on the topic, study articles, listen to tapes, CDs
and watch DVD’s, download or watch online sermons on the topic - the Word displaces any knowledge
in your life that doesn’t line up with His Word. You fill yourself to overflowing with what God says about
it instead of what you think you know about it.
You know how you’ll know you got it? You outside life will begin to manifest what is going on in the
inside of you. As you feed on the Word, it will begin to replace every erroneous thing inside you –
poverty, doubt, lack, unbelief, debt – and as it displaces those areas, you will begin to walk in it in the
natural. Things begin to turn around. Jobs come, unexpected finances come, or raises come when no
one else is getting them. Your debt begins to disappear and you begin to have a little money left over
each payday. Pretty soon, you have money left over all month and don’t live paycheck to paycheck.
This works for any area of your life that you are lacking in. Need a healing? Fill up with Word in the
area of healing until that Word displaces the illness and replaces it with total manifestation of healing.
Need to get rid of that temper? Fill up on the Word in the area of peace. The more you study, the
less you will fly off at the handle.
As you learn how to operate in the Kingdom of God’s way of doing things, you will begin to prosper
more and more in every area of your life. Especially in this time we are living in, you need God to be
your source of supply in every area – health, provision ($4 a gallon for gasoline anyone?),
relationships, jobs, houses, finances, whatever you need!
God wants to be your source – let Him!
