I am so very excited about 2010. It is going to be THE best year Leland and I have ever experienced - and 2009
was pretty awesome! The world might be having recession but we have been living in God's abundance. He is so
good.
I can't emphasis enough how important the words of your mouth are in 2010. It has been prophesied that in 2010
there are going to be calamities - storms, natural disasters and terrorism. YOUR words will bring you through
victoriously or YOUR words will cause you more trouble than ever.
It doesn't matter if you believe that your words aren't that important. It doesn't matter if you believe that you can
make bad statements such as, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all*, hahaha."
You see, it doesn't matter if you believe it or not, the devil does. He hears every word you say and works hard to
bring the negative ones to pass in your life (John 10:10). THEN he tries to get you to think God did that negative
thing to you. It's his job and he's very good at it. All he has to do is get you to agree with his negative words and
he has captured you through your mouth - Proverbs 12:13 (you're snared by your words).
The Message translation, Proverbs 18:21 "Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit--you choose."
Don't talk about the hard times - just talk the Word over and over and over. Talk it when times are good and talk it
when times seem to be bad (your words will change that). Talk it when you have and talk it when you don't have.
Preach that Word in season and out to yourself and to your circumstances. Don't preach what you think, don't
preach your feelings, don't preach your religion, don't preach activism, and don't preach the government - JUST
preach the Word of God. Speak only what God says.
I heard a minister say it this way, "Talk the Word ALL THE TIME. Live the Word - the just shall live by faith - if
you're not living by faith you're not going to make it in 2010 - you may get by on mercy but that's all you're going
to do - get by."
How do you talk the Word? Say what God says. If the doctor says, "You have a bad disease and you're going to
die." What does God say about that? God says, "Look I sent Jesus to die on the cross so you don't have to
experience ANY disease. This is what I want you to speak about this factoid the doctor is trying to get you to
accept. Just say 1 Peter 2:24, 'By the stripes of Jesus, I AM HEALED.' That is ALL I want you to say." And you
are not "going to be healed" - you are healed now. The devil is simply trying to steal that truth from you by
bringing you sickness to accept. Don't do it.
I'll leave you with another gem God said for us to do, "This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but
you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then
you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. Josh 1:8 (RSV)
