2010: What will it bring to you?
It was hard to know which direction God was taking me for the first Musing of this New Year. On one hand I
want to speak Word over you (Job 22:28) for 2010. When you declare God's word, it is established! On the
other hand, after the service I sat through New Year's eve I want to warn you about what's coming in 2010.
I decided to compromise and give you a little bit of both.
What about 2010? 2010 will be good for some and hard for others. For some, it will be the best year they've
ever had. For most, it will be more of the same they've been experiencing - only more intense. Jesus has the
answers, anyone who will seek Him and obey will experience the best.
Isaiah 1:19 states, "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land!" This is harder than it
sounds. We all are willing to "eat the good of the land" - to experience and have the best. Who isn't? It is
the obedience part that wipes out most of us. Yet to prosper in every area, you cannot have one without the
other.
The most important thing about 2010 is that we all must obey God and His Word more than ever. This is not
the year to put things off, thinking you will have more time to obey later. You must obey now. You MUST
have that covenant connection that only comes from tithing. If you don't, start right now. You must read your
Bible. You must do what that Word you read tells you to do.
We are living in a time where there is no more time to mess around. This is THE year to obey in every area.
God is merciful but if you want to experience the best year you've ever had, obey everything God tells you to
do. Be quick to repent when you blow it then get back on track.
I heard prophetic Word that there will be wild weather, financial upheaval, natural disasters, increased
terrorist activity, and the like. BUT! We have the ability to live like the Israelites did while living near Egypt.
Here are two examples where it states clearly that while evil was going on in the world (Egypt), God's people
were protected right in the middle of it.
In this first example, there was hail in Egypt, destroying everything. The second example was when there was
total darkness in Egypt but not where the Israelites lived! This is the Message translation:
In 2010 - let's be in the center of God's will and have the best year we've ever experienced in every area of
our life. Seek God; obey what He tells you to do, be quick to repent, walk in love toward all, and quick to give
praise and worship to Him! Through that obedience, we will experience His perfect will for us.
Getting into the Center of God's Perfect Will - A Step By Step Plan
1. Realize that it is God's will for you to know His will. (Psalm 84:11, Colossians 1:9 AMP)
2. Receive God's will by faith--just say "yes." (James 1:58, Mark 11:24)
3. Look up scriptures concerning God's will--confess them, mediate on them and obey them. (Psalm 119:105,
133, Joshua 1:8 AMP, James 1:2225)
4. Spend time praying and fasting. (Romans 8:2628 AMP, Isaiah 58:611)
5. Listen up! You are now in position to hear from the Holy Spirit. He will reveal God's perfect will to you. (John
16:1315 AMP, 1 Corinthians 2:910 AMP)

Exo 9:25-26 The hail hit hard all over Egypt. Everything exposed out in the fields,
people and animals and crops, was smashed. Even the trees in the fields were
shattered. Except for Goshen where the Israelites lived; there was no hail in Goshen.
Exo 10:22-23 Moses stretched out his hand to the skies. Thick darkness descended on
the land of Egypt for three days. Nobody could see anybody. For three days no one
could so much as move. Except for the Israelites: they had light where they were living.
