not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Do you know that God has a plan for your life? He created you with a purpose in mind so that no one
can lament, "I don't know why I am here! I have no reason to be alive!"
Jeremiah 29:11 has some really good translations. The King James version is not as strongly put as the
Living Bible where God states that He has plans for us. NIV says they are plans to prosper us. NAS
says they are plans for welfare and not calamity. NJB says the plans are for peace and not disaster.
The NAB says those plans are to give us a future full of hope, not woe.
No matter which way you look at it, God has a good plan for our life. His plan is to prosper us. His plan
means we have a promise of peace, being well taken care of, and that evil has no place or right in our
life if we choose to believe God's Word over what the world is saying to us. The word welfare also
means: wellbeing, benefit, happiness, good, and safety. That is God's desire for our lives.
The world (those outside God's plan and will) is falling apart. Just read the news titles: it is very obvious
that more and more accidents are taking lives. More people are losing their homes, cars and jobs.
People are facing terrible calamity, the very thing God says we do not have to face.
God's plan for your life can be as simple as being the janitor who changes a child's live by teaching him
about Jesus, then that child going on and becoming the evangelist who gets millions saved. The
janitor's reward is the very same as the evangelists.
God's plan for your life can be to become a prosperous businessman who gives thousands into the
Gospel so that millions of lives are changed. Or God's plan can be for you to be the mother of that
businessman who raised him with a love for God that caused him to want to give.
The important thing to realize today is that God has a plan for your life, no matter who you are. And it is
time for us to get into our place. Spend some time with God. Tell Him you are willing to obey and walk
out His plan for your life. Ask Him to lead you to your place in His plan for your life. Ask Him to show you
what you need to change to get to the place He has for you - or if you are already in His plan.
Remember, in that plan God has for you, there is prosperity, peace, welfare.
Everything we need to live in today's world!
That is how good God is!
