WHEN HEALING DOESN'T
SEEM TO COME

what God’s Word said to do?  Then, as you are standing on God’s Word for that healing, it looks as
if the circumstances just don’t seem to be changing?  Does it seem as if healing is not manifesting
in your body?  I think we have all been here.

It is what you do next that is vitally important to receiving what Jesus has already appropriated for
you – total healing.

The first step is to stay on God’s side.  You have to know in your heart that God has not failed you.
This must be established knowledge, not wishing and a hoping.  You must KNOW God has not let
you down.  There is no failure in Him so it is never God’s fault if a healing does not seem to be
manifesting.  Repeat after me:  It is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER God’s fault.  Healing always
comes, always.  But healing is not always received.

God has already sent His Word, and according to the Bible, healing has already been purchased by
the blood of Jesus. So if healing has already been made available, then the rest is up to us. We
must act on this Word to get the results we desire.

Since we know there is no failure with God, it is obvious that when believers do not receive their
healing, the problem must lie elsewhere.  Keeping this in mind, we need to realize that healing
largely depends on a firm stand in the fact that your prayer has been heard and that it has been
answered.  Not will be but has.

I leave you with a little illustration a former pastor of mine gave in church one time.  He leaned over
and said to me, “If you asked me for $5 and I said, ‘Yes, I will give you $5 right after church’ do you
have that $5?”  I said, “Yes I do.”

He asked me why and I replied “Because you told me I could have it and can pick it up right after
church.”

“So you’re saying my word is good and even though you can’t see that $5, it is yours, correct?”
“Yes,” I replied.

He then said, “So if I come back over here after while and ask you again if you have that $5, what
will you say?”

“I will say ‘Yes’ because you said I have it.”

He asked, “Well do you have it in your hands right now?”
“No,” I replied.
“So how do you know you have it?
“Because you said I have it.”
“So even though you can’t see the $5 you know you have the $5 correct?”
“Yes.”

Then he said, “Well folks, the way to receiving healing is the same.  God’s Word is good and can be
trusted even more than mine is.  If God said healing is yours now, then healing is yours now no
matter what it looks, feels, or sounds like.  Just like Nan has $5 because I said she does, even
though it is not in her hands at this exact moment, you have healing because God said you do.  Not
based on what you feel like.  Not based on what it looks like.  Not based on what doctor’s say. Not
based on any outward circumstances.  You have healing because God says you do.”
