Who does the devil see when he looks at you? Does he see a weak-kneed, fearful, unbelieving Christian,
shaking in his or her boots? Someone easily tricked by his wiles?
BUT - inside - inside, Sandals think she is as huge Great Dane - a macho Mastiff, an alpha dog, as mean as
a Chow can be.
Yesterday, while my son was visiting, the dog went into the sunroom and
suddenly made a really strange noise. I called to my son who thought she
might have to "go outside." I said, "No, that was a really strange sound
she made."
He opened the door to let her out and she took off like a rocket. In my back yard were 3 medium to large
dogs who, upon seeing this holy terror rushing toward them, barking and growling her head off - ran for their
lives. She chased them out of the yard, to the top of the hill at the edge of the property. She stopped
there, turned around to look at Josh as if to say, "Anything else you need me to do while I'm out here?"
Those dogs were much bigger than Sandals and probably, together, might have been able to hurt her. Yet
she had no concept that she wasn't capable of kicking their collective doggie heinies for daring to be in what
she perceives as one of her yards. More importantly, they had no concept she couldn't kick their doggie
heinies!
When the devil looks at you, who does he see? Who are you inside? As Sandal's proved so clearly, who
you believe you are - what you are inside - is reflected in your actions on the outside. If you are full of the
Word of God and act on that Word, covered in the armor of God, the devil sees Jesus. He has no idea
anyone else is under that armor because he only hears the words of Jesus and sees the actions of Jesus -
so it must be Jesus! And that scares him. That is why he flees when we resist him in the power and
authority of Jesus!

WHO DOES THE DEVIL SEE WHEN HE LOOKS AT YOU?
|
My son has a Schnorkie dog - a cross between a Schnauzer and a
Yorkshire . Sandal's stands about 10 inches high and 20 feet long.
Sandals has big ears. When she was a puppy, we didn't think she would
ever grow into those ears. She didn't. She is a funny dog and has a
personality that makes you laugh. You don't think "killer dog" when you
look at her. Sandal's isn't a small tiny tea-cup dog but it would really be
pushing it to call her a medium sized dog.
I now understand the strange noise Sandals made when she looked out the glass
door and saw those dogs in my yard. It was the sound of a warrior!
