I read a story one time about Ephesians 1, Verse 21 about Jesus being seated at the right
Hand of God, “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name
that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”
A woman and her husband were dealing with his illness which was very serious. As she was
reading her Bible one morning, she came across this passage of scripture and those words:
“…every name that is named.” She also remembered that it said in Philippians 2:9-10 that
“Jesus’ name (or authority) is above every name. Every knee shall bow!”
She thought to herself, “Cancer is a name and Jesus’ Name has authority above it.”
Jesus– His authority - is above all principality and power, might and dominion and every name
that is named. No matter what the name is, Jesus has authority (and given authority to us)
over it.
This woman and her husband stood on that Word from God that this cancer, being a name, is
covered under this scripture. Cancer had to bow its knee to the power of God and the
Authority in the Name of Jesus. Her husband was miraculously and completely healed.
What name is in your life today that is keeping you from living your life abundantly? Poverty?
Bills? Debt? Rebellious kids? Lack? Needs? Sickness? Disease?
ALL “NAMES” MUST BOW TO THE POWER AND AUTHORITY IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
Everything named must bow its knee to Jesus – give up its authority under the authority of
Jesus.
Stand on that Word today until your life lines up with John 10:10 – abundant life!
