JoyUs Musing
Edition #08-16
I changed what we're musing about this week.  We'll deal with praying in the Spirit next week.

When people see how blessed hubby and I are they often say, "You're so lucky" or "Well, your husband has a
great paying job."  NO.  We are NOT lucky.  We are living a life of choices we made and make every day, good or
bad.

If we are financially blessed it is because we made choices that lined up with God's ways - believing He is our
provider and source, tithing, giving first fruit and alms, confessing the Word of God (scriptures about prosperity),
being good stewards of what He's put into our hands, walking in love, and being Spirit-led.  It is not luck.

If we are healthy and easily healed, walking in divine health, it is because we made choices that lined up with
God's ways - believing He is our healer, confessing the Word of God (scriptures about healing), eating right,
exercising, drinking plenty of water and less caffeine, getting plenty of sleep, walking in forgiveness, walking in
love, and being Spirit-led in our choices.  It is not luck.

If our relationship with one another is wonderfully passionate and blessed it is because we made choices that
lined up with God's ways - believing He is our helper, only speaking good of one another at all times with all
people, putting the other first, supporting one another, walking in forgiveness, walking in love, and being
Spirit-led in our choices.  It is not luck.

Of course the opposite is true, too.  If our finances stink, choices.  If we are sick or need to lose weight, choices.
If we fought all the time, choices.  And there was a time our finances stunk, we were sick and we disagreed often.
The only reason we are where we are and have what we have is because of God, His Word and our choices.
We're not all that!

And here's the truth:  if you see someone who is blessed, you can have what they have if you do what they did to
get there.  And you can even be more blessed than they are by being even more obedient to His Word than they
are!

You may have to give up American Idol or movie channels to spend time listening to faith-based teaching CD's or
read faith-based books.  You might even have to spend more time praying and being in God's presence.

You may have to put away that "desire" purchase to help someone else financially or plant finances into your
church's projects.  You may have to change your food choices - giving up excess sugar and white flour products
in order to be healthier.  You may even have to rearrange your busy schedule to make time to walk on your
treadmill or around the block for at least 30 minutes a day.

What you are experiencing right now is based on what is in your heart and what has come out of your mouth
consistently.  Need to experience better things - make changes?  Change what is in your heart - put more Word
in and pray in the Spirit more.

Until next week, live joyfully!  NAN

Do Our Choices Matter?
Upcoming teachings:

-- Stepping out before it's time
-- Going by feelings & emotions
-- The pressure of "NOW"
-- Settling for less than God's best
God does not let us down.  Ever.
Our faith lets us down - it fails us.

Get into the Bible, read it, meditate on
the scriptures and build up your faith
enough to overcome anything!
There are only  two things that cause us
failure in life:

It is either a Word problem - lack of Word
or
an obedience problem - failing to obey the
Word we know.
Say It:
My life is a result of my choices.  I make godly choices
based on God's Word!
