So here we are, 5 days into the New Year. I don’t know about you, but I am very excited about this year. I think 2008
is going to be THE BEST year we, as Christians, have ever had the opportunity to experience!
It will also be the worst year some have experienced. It is just like Jesus said to the two blind men in Matthew,
“According to your faith, be it unto you.” Many people have had so-called “faith” failures, blamed God and given up. I
say so-called because faith never fails. We might fail faith, but real faith will never fail us!
I don’t care how many projects you started and failed, or promises you made to yourself to change. I don’t care how
long you have believed God for specific dreams and visions. I don’t care how long you have believed for a healing or
financial breakthrough. This is YOUR year if you won’t give up your faith!
It’s like diet programs. Diets don’t fail people, people fail diets. We almost always quit before we see victory. We say,
“I’ve tried all these diets and none of them worked for me. In fact, I gained weight in the end!” We end up having
great faith in our failures.
Let’s have more faith in God’s power than we have faith in our failures!
The word power comes from the Greek word, “dunamis”. It is where we get our English word, “dynamite.” It means
FORCE, especially miraculous power, and can blow the enemy and our failures right out of the water!
James 4:7 says it all - Obey God, stand against the devil and he will run away in stark terror from you and he will shun
you.
If we have more faith in God’s power than we have faith in our past failures, we can’t be stopped this year. God has
The Power and through Jesus, He has given US that same power. It is time to stand up and use it!
This is the year of the fullness of blessing (benefit). God has given us everything we need to have success in every
area of our life in 2008!
SAY IT:
Jesus gave me, (fill in your name here), power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. Luke 9:1b
Behold, Jesus gave me, (fill in your name here), the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the
power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Luke 10:19
